Hanuman Sunderkand Mandala. Shri Hanuman's mother, Anjani, called him "Sundar," which inspired Sage Valmiki to name the 5th chapter of the Ramayan as "Sundar Kand." This is the only chapter of the Ramayan where the protagonist is Lord Hanuman, not Sri Ram. Sundar Kand is recited in many households as an auspicious ritual because Lord Hanuman resolved all of Sri Ram's obstacles and found Sita Mata. This chapter highlights his adventures, selflessness, strength, and devotion to Sri Ram.My composition is inspired by Sundar Kand and vividly represents its main events. The mandala around Lord Hanuman signifies continuity, movement, and infinity. Lord Anjaneya was blessed with Ashta-Siddhi (Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Anima, Prapti, Prakamya, Ishitva, Vashitva) and Nava-Nidhi (Mahapadma, Padma, Shankha, Kacchapa, Makara, Mukunda, Nanda, Nila, Kharva), which are incorporated into the mandalas through mantras and motifs. The mandala also includes elements from the tale of Sursa (how she tried to gulp Lord Hanuman down, and how he reduced himself to his tiniest size to escape), the tale of the Choodamani and the Mudrika, and the coming together of Sugreev's army, along with many other stories from Sundar Kand. This piece was created with constant satsang and dhyan, imbued with immense positive energy and luck. Place it near your study, mandir, or anywhere, and experience the results for yourself.
